Protein Lifestyle doesn't break the mold with its offering of Whey Protein. However what Protein Lifestyle does is offer a great tasting & mixing shake, with a familiar nutritional profile, for a great price.

Sometimes the new kid on campus becomes the alpha, standing tall above all others. Sometimes, the new kid becomes a briefcase wanker, shunned for being a bit of a twat. Then we have the middle-ground, the run of the mil. By no means bad, but at the same time nothing outstanding. The Protein Lifestyle’s Whey Protein Concentrate kind of fits into this category. However This whey protein concentrate manages to stand out slightly with its natural tasting goodness. Today im giving your my thoughts on Protein Lifestyles Whey Protein Concentrate in this The Protein Lifestyle Whey Protein Concentrate Review.

From our Impact Whey Protein Review, Body Fortress Whey Protein Review and Protein Works Whey Protein 80 review, it stacks up very similarly in regards to nutrition.

Milk, Wheat

As you can see, nothing out of the ordinary, pretty standard stuff. This is definitely a good think in my opinion though, as it gives potential new customers such as you and myself a level of comfort and familiarty with the product, and the brand. There’s nothing worst than trying some new supplements only to find a list of ingredients you’ve never seen. In a worst case scenario, this can lead to a supplement scam if you’re not careful. Fortunately, that isn’t the case with The Protein Lifestyle’s Whey Concentrate.

Taste, Texture & Mixability

Where Protein Lifestyle’s whey does break the mold slightly, is in its mixability. Some cheap protein powders do not mix well at all. I’ve tried certain brands that, when mixed, feels like im drinking cottage cheese. Whether you’re using a food processor or a regular protein shaker cup, this mixes perfect.

Protein Lifestyle keeps the good times rolling with its taste. I’ve used the Strawberry flavour, and it has an awesome, natural, strawberry taste. Not artificial. Not too sweet. Definitely not sickly.

I do have quite a sweet tooth, so I do quite enjoy the ‘sickly sweet taste’. However when having something too sweet, it leaves my mouth feeling like an assplosion has gone off. That being said however, this natural tasting strawberry shake will be perfect for anyone, as the taste is subtle and natural. Exactly what you want for your post workout shake.

Protein Lifestyle FlavoursThe disappointing thing about Protein Lifestyle’s whey protein is it’s lack of flavours. With other supplement companies such as Bodybuilding Warehouse, GoNutrition and The Protein Works offering dozens of flavours, The Protein Lifestyle certainly comes in last.

As I eagerly browse the many different flavours of Protein Powders available to use a myprotein discount code with, or see the innovative flavours such as cherry bakewell protein from The Protein Works, its hard to get excited about chocolate, banana, strawberry and vanilla.

Where Protein Lifestyle lacks in choice however, it certainly makes up for in quality. While a range of flavours is nice, do we need a choice of 4 different strawberry variations. Do we need a choice of banana, banana’s & cream, natural banana? I think not.

Whilst a few more variations would be nice, especially considering they’ve nailed the strawberry taste, I do quite like The Protein Lifestyle’s simplistic approach. I’d much rather them nail 4 flavours, than throw out crappy flavours and miss the mark. Much like MyProtein did with protein crispies for example.

If you already use a whey protein concentrate, and are looking to make a switch, don’t expect this to supercharge your gains. That being said, if you’re not using any whey protein supplements at the moment, you really can’t go wrong with this whey protein from The Protein Lifestyle.

As already mentioned, it offers a similar nutritional value to many of the quality bulk suppliers on the market. The price is cheap, but don’t let that fool you into thinking that quality is compromised.

Providing that you’re training with a high level of intensity, know how much you should be eating, and are getting an adequate amount of rest, The Protein Lifestyle’s Whey Protein Concentrate will help you build muscle (and taste great doing so)

Value For Money

The Protein Lifestyle’s Whey Protein Concentrate can be yours for as little as £13.49 for a kg bag. This sits pretty much in the ‘middle ground’ price wise, when compared to other protein supplements. Not the cheapest, but certainly not the most expensive.

We’re talking pennies in price difference here, so its definitely not going to break the bank if you decide to give these ago.

Buying in bulk will allow you to get it for as cheap as £7.25 a kg.

Whey or Nay? GIVE IT A GO!

thumbs up arnoldNutritionally, the product is sound. Price wise you can’t really go wrong. The taste and mixability of Whey Protein Concentrate 80% from The Protein Lifestyle is where this shines.

If you’re looking to spark up your protein shake with a new flavour, or if you’ve had a bad experience with another protein supplier, then definitely give The Protein Lifestyle a try. I would personally vouch for the quality of their Strawberry Whey Protein Concentrate, and I’m looking forward to trying the banana and vanilla flavours.

The Protein Lifestyle doesn’t break the mold, and certainly plays it safe with their Whey Protein offering, but is this a bad thing… nope!

Sometimes me and you like to change our supplements up. Whether we’re looking to see if a new protein powder will be better quality, offer a better taste, or if the company will offer a better service. Rather than taking a swing, and missing. The Protein Lifestyle hits the nail on the head, and ticks all the boxes with their Whey Protein Concentrate Offering.

Taking into consideration the price, the quality, and the taste, I’d recommend giving these a try if you’re in the marketing for something a little different, but doesn’t stray too far away from what you’re familiar with.
