King Kong Vs Godzilla. Hulk Hogan Vs Andre The Giant. Batman Vs Superman. These clash of the titans have all been epic in their own regards, and the supplement industry currently has their own clash of the titans between MyProtein and Go Nutrition. Go Nutrition was founded by the MyProtein founder, Oliver Cookson, after selling myprotein for a tidy sum to The Hut group. How does Go Whey Isolate 90 compare to other Whey Protein Isolate powders? Find out in our Go Nutrition Go Whey Isolate 90 review.
Go Whey Isolate 90 Overview
Go Whey Isolate 90 is a Whey Protein Isolate powder. GoNutrition touts it as their highest quality protein powder. Its over 90% protein, meaning minimal fat and carboyhdrate content. Go Whey Isolate protein powder packs 22g of protein per 25g serving. It contains just 0.17g carbs and 0.25g of fat making it a lean protein isolate option.
With a nutritional profile like this, Go Whey Isolate provides your with everything you need in one simple shake to supplement your protein intake, in order to recover faster from workouts, and build lean muscle. I would also like to note that it comes in a resealable bag. This may sound odd to bring up, but lately, alot of bulk powders i’ve been buying come in bags which just will not reseal. Im in a never ending cycle of finding pegs and pegging my bags up. GoNutrition Go Whey Isolate 90 comes in a durable, resealable bag ensuring freshness and easy storage.
The benefits of using a whey protein isolate such as Go Whey Isolate over a whey protein concentrate is that it contains a higher purity of protein. With minimal carbs and fat, Go Whey Isolate provides your body with exactly what you need from a protein shake. Protein, without the bullshit. Its an excellent choice for anyone who is lactose intolerant, as many whey protein concentrate powders contain lactose.
Go Whey Isolate contains a solid amino acid profile, laden with additional bcaa’s and glutamic acid, allowing for faster absorption to the muscle. Perfect for a post workout shake or as a meal replacement.
Go Whey Isolate 90 is a top level protein isolate powder, containing everything you need to make the best possible gains, packed into a creamy, tasty protein shake.

Taste & Texture
I was skeptical about trying the Maple Syrup & Pancake flavoured protein powder. I’ve tried a lot of protein shake flavours in the past, but nothing had come close to the level of uncertainty i had before trying this maple syrup flavour & pancake flavour. After my last bodybuilding show in November, I went on a binge that involved eating a ton of waffles, syrup, pancakes and poptarts. Sometimes all in 1 meal. I was on a strong bulk bro’.
Thus I had acquired quite the taste for golden syrup and maple syrup. So when I did see that Go Whey Isolate came in ‘Maple Syrup & Pancake Flavour’ you can understand my mixed levels of emotions. Think Darth Vader seeing Luke being electrocuted in Return of The Jedi. Surely a protein shake wouldn’t be able to taste like maple syrup and pancakes. Let me tell you, how wrong I was.
My first shake I made with water, and had it post workout. It took me a few mouthfuls to get my head around it, but the after taste came through strong, and the taste was undeniable. Maple Syrup was flowing in and around my mouth. What was strange is the after taste infact does have a very subtle taste of pancake. I shit you not. Whether just the name on the packaging is giving me some kind of placebo effect, and I think (therefore I am) tasting pancakes im not sure. However the flavour did not disappoint. Go Nutrition Go Whey Isolate 90 really does capture the taste of pancake day in 1 high protein powered shake. #winning!
Mixed with milk this tastes even creamier. Its preference as to how you like your protein shakes, thick or more water based. Obviously depending on your preference will depend on how much liquid you add, and if you use water or milk. I tend to drink my protein shakes with water as opposed to milk. If you’re the type who loves protein shakes with milk, but find they taste like a urinal when mixed with water, i have some good news. When mixed with water or milk, go whey isolate 90 provides a taste sensation.
Mixability is a bit of a mixed bag (pun intended). I always mix my shakes in a regular shaker bottle, without a spiral. Occasionally I found that Go Whey Isolate 90 wouldn’t fully mix, and leave a very subtle powder / floury texture. Out of over 10 shakes, this has only happened twice I believe, however I thought it would be at least worth noting. Perhaps using a spiral would prevent this problem. If you make your protein shakes using a blender, then you won’t have to worry about this.
Go Whey Isolate 90 – Value For Money
With more and more bulk protein powder retailers cropping up, the competition for your money is becoming more fierce. Some companies skimp on quality to provide a lower price. Some go the extra mile and provide a high quality product at a competitive price.
Go Whey Isolate 90 falls in the latter category. As already explained, the nutritional information and amino acid in Go Whey Isolate 90 is spot on. Its without a doubt an excellent whey protein isolate. Better yet, it available at an outstanding price. Go Nutrition sells their whey isolate in 500g, 1kg, 2kg and 4kg bags. Go Whey Isolate 90 is available from just £0.40 a serving. That’s less than than your average chocolate bar. Its less than a can of coke. In fact its less than a bottle of water in your gym. A 22g serving of protein for just £0.40 is outstanding value. Better yet using our GoNutrition Discount Codes means you can get this for an even cheaper price.
If you’re looking for a quality whey protein isolate, without a ridiculous price tag, then Go Whey Isolate 90 fits the mold.
Go Whey Isolate 90 Effectiveness
Unlike some low quality whey protein concentrate powders, Go Whey Isolate 90 won’t have you running to take a dump 30 minutes after you’ve drank it. Whey Protein Isolate is always more effective at providing better results than a protein concentrate, as it contains a purer, and higher quality grade of protein, and contains less calories from fats and carbs. As i always say no protein powder will turn you into Benedikt Magnuson overnight, however using a quality whey protein isolate such as Go Whey Isolate 90 will help you make better gains.
