Tri ScalesTri Scales – £27.20
Get it from Amazon Here

For anyone who tracks calories or macros, and cooks meals in bulk, scales are essential. I received these scales last Xmas from a close friend and can honestly say they are fantastic, especially if you travelling a lot like myself.

When open, its three arms provide a stable platform on which to place bowls and other items for weighing. When closed, it folds down to an extremely compact size, enclosing and protecting the screen and controls.

So spend that extra bit of money on a quality set of scales that also look great. Perfect as a kitchen essential for yourself, or as a gift for a fitness friend or family member.

Spiralizer – £29.95
Get it from Amazon Here

spiralizer fitness giftThe other month I bought myself a really cheap spiralizer.. and it stopped working after a few uses.

I then bought a (very sharp) julienne peeler and manage to slice my hand open despite reading numerous reviews from users saying that this may happen(!).

I am therefore asking for a decent spiralizer for Christmas which I cannot wait to use to make courgette pasta (courgette spirals) and other spiralized veggies to stir fry!

Is it sad that I can get VERY excited about a small piece of kitchen equipment?!

loose leaf tea pot fitness present ideaLoose Leaf Glass Tea Pot – From £7.99
Get it from Amazon Here

Like with the spiralizer, I have owned a glass steeping cup which was so fragile it smashed, a loose leaf tea sieve which was too shallow it didn’t steep the water and finally a metal heart tea strainer which leaks tea leaves.

I also ordered another (strawberry shaped) tea strainer from eBay which never arrived..

So! For Christmas I am asking for a decent loose leaf steeping pot which means that I can get more than one cup at a time!

I cannot believe that I would ever be saying that I’m into loose teas but they seriously taste amazing and they’re full of healthy polyphenols too.. win win.

Recoemmended by Nichola Whitehead.

Burnout Material Biker Design T-Shirt

I bought my mate Gary a Grey burnout material biker design T-Shirt from H&M 2 Christmas’s ago and he said it’s too BIG. I’ve had that same T-Shirt back last Christmas and he had it again for his birthday…. I think I know what I’m getting this Christmas!

Quest-Bars gift ideaQuest Bars – £18.95
Get Them From Amazon Here

A few years back our lass asked me what i wanted for Christmas from her parents. I said protein bars.

She said thats a crap present, but their not. Rather than having a crappy novelty present that’s going to just collect dust, or sit in the bottom of a drawer, id prefer someone spends money on something that im going to use.

Protein bars are something I always like to have in handy. They help me hit my protein intake, are good for eating on the move, and taste nice. Some of them are essentially a macro friendlier candy bar. Such as ISS Oh Yeah Bars.

Quest Bars are spot on in terms of taste and nutrition though. There’s no unnesscary fat in them. No sugars, basically no crap. They’re full of fibre, have about 20g of protein per bar, and the majority of the fats come from nuts, so are healthy fats.

Id rather get a box of these over a box of stocking filler novelty crap that i’ll never use. Or beer. I’d be happy getting beer for Christmas.

nutribulletNutri Bullet – £89.99

If someone got me a NutriBullet I’d love them forever and a day!

These things are perfect for juicing up fruit, vegetable and protein smoothies.

You can take these drinks with you on the go to get those micronutrients and gains in wherever you are!

They’re not cheap, but i definitely think that they’re worth the extra over cheaper alternatives. Seriously if someone did get me one, i would love them forever!

So almond butter seems to be the new kraze at the moment! Everyone’s loving it. With high protein nut butter taking over the fitness scene, people seem to be forgetting about good ol’ fashion natural peanut butter & almond butter.

Barney Butter Smooth and Honey & Flax are my TOP TWO! They are incredibly moreish!

Jjaybird blue buds in ear earphones gift ideaaybird Bluebuds X Bluetooth In-Ear Earphones Midnight Black BBX – £169.99
Get it from Amazon for under £105 & save £65 HERE

I’ve not given Christmas gifts for fitness enthusiasts too much thought this year. But I figure if someone were to buy something for me, I’d want it to be a pair of these Jaybird Bluebuds.

They’re a bit expensive and even though I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on equipment, I’ve been satisfied enough with my Apple Earpods where dropping over $100 on headphones for the gym seems crazy.

I don’t know if id buy them for myself, but if someone got me these as a gift, i’d really appreciate the gesture and get a lot of use out of them in the gym.

Body Beast
Tyler Reks’ best fitness gift

This year my wife purchased me the Body Beast program.  She knew I was trying to lean up and get shredded for my match with Curt Hawkins against Lance Hoyt and Kevin Matthews.  This couldn’t have been a better gift for that. She bought me the challenge pack that came with a TON of goodies that made a fitness freak like me giddy.  It came with:Bodybuilding workouts

  • Full DVD set that includes 12 different cutting-edge workouts that fuse the best of old-school resistance training with a new breakthrough in sports science called Dynamic Set Training.
  • Complete nutrition guide with three phases (Bulk, Build, and Beast)
  • Nutrition and workout guidebook
  • Quick reference workout schedule
  • Full month of supplements including:
    • Base shake (protein)
    • Fuel shot (post workout powder)
    • Creatine
    • Super Suma (all natural testosterone booster)
  • Body Beast mobile app

This was exactly what I needed to lean up for the match at Pro-Wrestling Syndicate this past Halloween.  Not only was I lean but I was super agile and light on my feet. The training program made me stronger, faster, and generally in better shape than I was before I started.

Gabe Tuft, known as Tyler Reks, at PWS on 10-31-14As a result, I decided to start coaching other people.  So if you are considering purchasing the Body Beast Challenge Pack as a gift for yourself or for someone special, consider this. I’m now providing free access to a private Facebook challenge group run by yours truly (Gabe Tuft) to anyone who purchases a Challenge Pack.  The challenge group is 30 days of free online coaching with access to:

  • Private Facebook group for JUST the challengers
  • Your coach, which is me, via Facebook, Facebook Messenger, phone, email, or text to answer any questions you might have
  • Daily information, training tips, and helpful guides to completing your first 30 days on the Body Beast program.

My guys (and girls) have seen killer results using this program and honestly, I think it’s the best 90 day program out there for losing body fat and gaining lean muscle mass simultaneously.

Muscle Mousse ReviewMuscle Mousse – £18.95
Get it from Amazon HERE

Buying supplements for a bodybuilder or fitness freak can be tricky. Usually, you’ll be buying them for a partner, sibling or close friend. Chances are they know alot about supplements and you won’t know much at all.

No matter how many supplement reviews you check out you still won’t be quite sure what the person is going to like. As you can probably tell by checking out the MyProtein review section of the site, im a regular user, and big fan of MyProtein.

However my fiancee is AWESOME at picking me gifts. I mean really good. So, when i opened a tub of Muscle Mousse on my birthday, you can imagine my delight.

As a bodybuilder, especially during contest prep, dessert is off the menu. Chocolate is a no go. So to be able to enjoy a protein shake, that forms a perfect mousse, with a sweet, creamy white chocolate taste, kept me sane during contest prep.

You can check out my entire Muscle Mousse Review for full information. A snapshot look at it though: Muscle Mousse is a low fat, 30 gram serving of protein that contains just 11 grams of carbs. You mix it as you would a regular protein shake, but let it set for 30-60 minutes in the fridge. It sets as a mousse, making the perfect healthy high protein dessert.

Speaking as a bodybuilder, I know that buying supplements as a gift can be tricky. I have my own personal preferences, supplements I always use, and supplements that I think are crap.

You can’t go wrong with getting Muscle Mousse as a gift for any fitness enthusiast you know however.

weight lifting strapsPadded Weight Lifting Straps – £3.99
Get them from MyProtein HERE

You can’t go wrong with buying weigh lifting straps as a gift for someone who lifts weights. Anyone I know either uses, or at some point has used a pair of weight lifting straps.

Weight lifting straps allow the person wearing them to train harder by lifting heavier weight on an exercise such as the deadlift, utilising the back, and not being held back by grip strength.

I’ve used a few different brands of weight lifting straps over the years, but I find the ones from MyProtein to be the best. They’re durable, hold up under a heavy load, but most importantly are padded. This means that they will not dig into your wrist when lifting.

When i’ve used straps without padding, they sometime leave my wrists saw, scrape skin off, and can even cause bleeding.

The padded weight lifting straps are only £3.99, and anyone receiving these as a gift will get good use out of them.

kettlebellsKettlebells – Prices Vary
Get them from the Dragondoor Website HERE or from Amazon HERE
If you’re looking for a great fitness Christmas gift idea then I would highly recommend investing in a set of kettlebells instead of jingle bells.

More specifically I bought my brother a set of Dragondoor kettlebells a couple years ago on Christmas and it has been a solid investment.

After 2 years of hard training from a hard dude the bells have not chipped, dented, or rusted in the least. They are true to size, durable, and covered with a rust resistant material to withstand the rigors of intense training.

If you are like me and enjoy unconventional training methods then a set of Dragondoor kettlebells would be a great gift idea.

promixx vortex gift guidePromixx Vortex Mixer – £19.99
Get if from HERE

As gym lovers the last thing anybody would buy is a shaker as there just basic plastic shaker and roughly cost £4. But as shakers go this is far from a basic, plastic shaker!

This is the original Vortex Mixer (the 2.0 has just being released)

The technology utilised in the Promixx Vortex Mixer allows you to effortlessly mix all of your nutritional supplements ranging from protein powders to carbohydrates to your amino acids; all at the touch of a button, resulting in a smooth shake!

The Promixx Vortex has a blunt blade that has been scientifically engineered in order to protect the integrity of the nutrients contained within your supplements. The stress placed on your sports supplements by a typical blender has been shown to damage the structure of the nutrients, so the Promixx Mixer is an ideal way to blend your shakes whilst maintaining the quality.

The Promixx Vortex Mixer has a sports cap that is 100% leak proof, so you do not have to worry about any spillages whilst on the go. Promixx have made it easy for you to transport your Vortex Mixer as the battery operated motor is fully detachable, making the Mixer even more compact.

The motor itself with a click away can shake your supplement of choice at a whopping 12000 rpm which is just insane considering how small and lightweight it is.

Compared to a normal shaker these things are pricey. I can’t imagine many people buying one for themself, however I know i’d appreciate one of these as a gift. So if you’re stuck for gift ideas for fitness lovers, then you can’t go wrong with this in my opinion.

Tefal Non Stick Pan – £16.99
Get it here

For protein baking I always recommend Tefal non stick pans. When making protein based recipes, such as high protein pancakes, things get very sticky. The end result always ends up messy if you dont use a non stick pan. The beauty about this is that it isn’t just a gift for people who carry out protein baking, but is useful for anyone who cooks.

Chances are if you’re looking for gift ideas for bodybuilders, or anyone who eats ‘healthy’ then they’re going to be in the kitchen – a lot. These pans come in handy for cooking a wide range of muscle foods, such as eggs, chicken, steak and ground meat.

Silicone bakeware also comes in very handy when making protein treats.
